I probably owe an apology to my many violin playing friends. They are, for the most part, good, kind, smart people. (For the most part.) So, I'm sorry I may have insulted them on BBC radio this morning.

Mind you, I'm not sorry about tricking our drummer into promising me cake.
Drum cake!

dearest emms: guard against your accent becoming too posh. ;)
and ps. i want some cake too. remember that cake? that cake with the coffee and the chocolate chips? that was sure a good cake.
That was a great cake. And then great rehearsal after the cake.
And Chris also says I sound British there. BUT nobody from here can hear it. I'm still all Canadian weird to them, so it's okay.
Yes! See, Robin hears it too! Although this time it was more English and less Irish. I think I liked Irish Emma better - no offence to British Emma of course. When does Scottish Emma show up at the party? I think she'd be fun.
Well, Welsh Emma didn't RSVP so I don't think she's coming at all...Scottish Emma should be by sometime after Erin moves to Edinburgh, I think....
Mmm... I do SO love the Aberdeen brogue.
So post-baroque *quips with bubble pipe*
oh high diddly dee Scottish Emma! *cringes at appaling cultural stereotype*
It's odd, when I came back to London after visiting you, and, after a small glass of 'Mount Gay' rum and cola, somebody said to me "Your accent is weird, where are you from?"... I get that a lot now.
However red wine I've found produces a much clearer accent (or possibly the illusion of clarity).
Ho hum...
