I just read a news item stating that seven hours of sleep was the optimum amount. Stating it like everybody already knew that, that's just common sense.
But I thought it was eight.
I've been shooting for eight all along. If I had known I had an extra hour to work with, go for a run, do some research, write a chapter, learn a new instrument, I would have used it!
Damn.
Is this true?! Seven hours?

okay, okay, let's focus here. one: you never got eight hours of sleep here in edmonton. what the heck kinda slack lifestyle are you living in this "england" where you get eight hours of sleep?
two: i usualy get the 7 hours of sleep... certainly never more. and. ummm. i work at a law firm doing largely work that could be done by a puppy. (if they just made the keys a little bigger on those darned keyboards...) so. i vote it must be eight. otherwise i'd be waaayyyyy more famous and a super model right now. and if that logic seems shasy, well, it only backs my defense.
shady... i think i should have a nap.
According to mattress maker Sealy: "63% of Amaerican adults fo not get the 8 hours of sleep experts recommend for optimal health"
Who better to ask than a mattress maker? There is no way they're conflicted either, so it's I trust what they say 100% - 8 hours it is!
They also claim that you can sleep on their mattress while someone drops a bowling ball next to you! A BOWLING BALL! Amazing!!!

Look man, I'm a nine hours kinda guy. Nine hours is grrreat. I've yet to...
